A Case of Myoepithelioma Involving Nasal Septum

Abstract

|
Myoepithelioma is a rare benign tumor of the salivary glands and involvement of the nasal cavity is extremely rare. A 53-year-old male visited our department with a complaint of left nasal obstruction. A round shaped, space occupying mass was observed in the left nasal cavity under nasal endoscopic examination. Endoscopic excision was performed and the mass was completely resected with clear resection margin. Histopathological examination showed that the tumor was consistent with myoepithelioma. The nasal obstruction was completely resolved after surgery and no recurrence has been observed during the follow up period of 24 months.
